Speech Therapy (ST)

Speech Therapist

Speech language pathology, or speech therapy, works with a variety of different communication disorders including articulation (speech sounds in words), language (how we understand and use language), and cognitive communication (underlying processes used for communication). Speech therapy aims to maximize a child’s communication across different environments such as home, school, and daycare. Our goal in speech therapy is to make sure that each child gets the appropriate services to teach them to express their wants and needs. Brittany Miller, M.A. CCC-SLP,  will perform a speech and language evaluation to assess whether the child has an articulation disorder or a language disorder. If the child qualifies to receive services, speech therapy sessions will be provided on a one-on-one basis to address the child’s specific goal areas for speech and/or language production. At Learning Solutions our sessions typically are 45 minutes long in a set weekly spot.
