Meet Our Health Professionals


Sarah Foster

A Vernal native, Sarah Foster spent 20 years in the Army. She piloted the implementation of special needs services for Nellis Air Force Base Charter School. Her experience and knowledge is heliping establish ASD services for the Uintah Basin and Tri-County area of rural Northeastern Utah. Sarah is passionate about representing the special needs populations in future state congressional matters and her Doctoral Candidate dissertation focuses on review of special needs Federal IDEA policy and suggested alternative problem solutions.


Landon Winn

Landen has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis working as a Registered Behavior Technician for two years. He and his wife are originally from the Uintah Basin and have recently moved back to the Basin as Landen is currently working to obtain his master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis online through Ball State University. grow! Landen has been married to his wife Savanah for four years, has a three-year-old daughter, and just recently welcomed another baby girl this past February. Landen’s hobbies include basketball, going hammocking and camping with his family, playing with his dog Murphy, and watching movies with his wife.


Justin Benson

Justin Benson, M.Ed., CCC-SLP received his Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Communication Disorders, and his Master’s from the University of Virginia in the same field. Since graduation, Justin has worked in the medical field and in early intervention addressing a variety of concerns for both kids and adults.

Rachel Mitchell

Rachel has received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Utah and is board-certified through NBCOT. Rachel has 5 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy. Before her professional degree, she gained experience as a Disability Respite Provider, Special Education Paraprofessional, and Disability Consultant. She enjoys camping, learning, meditation, service, and spending time with her husband and four children. Rachel is grateful for the skills, insight, and compassion from her experience of having a child who is on the Autism Spectrum.


Keith Meeks

Keith is a graduate of Uintah High School. Upon graduation, he served ten years in the Navy as an IT/Data Analyst. As a Petty Officer First Class, his leadership duties included program management of personnel and equipment. As a supervisor of thirty personnel, his team ensured the maintenance, safety, and readiness of the aviation squadrons assigned to various carriers in the US Naval Fleet. Upon separating from the Navy, Keith came back to his hometown of Vernal, UT, and co-parented his two daughters in nearby Rangely, CO while working in various positions of the oilfield. His flexibility, knowledge, love of community, friendly demeanor, and ability to communicate work into written data makes him a great asset to our team as he networks various groups as a program analyst for LS LLC.


Katie Clark

A Utah native, Katie is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a licensed LBA. She has worked in the field of behavior analysis for over 12 years. She received her bachelors degree in Psychology at Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL, then her Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University.  Her specialties include autism and other developmental disabilities, verbal behavior, pivotal response training, discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, precision teaching, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Katie has experience working in clinical, school, home, community, and online settings. She is passionate about community outreach, dissemination, self-improvement, parent advocacy, and positive behavior change.


Jessie Pye

Jessie received her Bachelor’s Degree from Utah State University in Psychology and is a Master’s Degree student at Ball State University with an emphasis in Behavioralism. She is a graduate of Uintah High School and has spent most of her life in the Uintah Basin actively working toward the preservation of lands, recreation, and park services. She works with clients that have water sensory issues. Teaching them water safety, skills, and strengthening. Allowing the children to not only enjoy themselves but also to get the most out of their sessions with maximum retention possible.


Sherice Swain

Sherice received her bachelor's degree in family life studies with an emphasis in human development from Utah State University in 2020. She is currently enrolled at Ball State University for her masters in ABA. In 2018 she was an occupational therapy aid for the school district, and in 2020 she was a middle school teacher aid in a self-contained classroom.


Stephanie O'driscoll

Stephanie has a Bachelor's degree in University Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho, combining courses in Marriage Family Studies, Sociology, and Psychology. She is furthering her education with a Master of Exceptional Student Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida. She has over 11 years of experience working with preschool to middle school-aged children. Her experiences range from teaching in a classroom to providing in-home mentoring and respite care. Stephanie is passionate about working with children and believes she has one of the most fun and rewarding jobs.


Emily Epperson

Emily comes to Learning Solutions from Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College in Psychology and Education, a Master’s degree from Mercer University in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) and Master’s degree from Arizona State University for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Before entering the field of ABA, Emily worked with youth with developmental delays and emotional-behavior disorders within the residential and crisis management settings. She is a member of the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) and is a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) with the state of Utah. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son and husband, reading all things thriller and suspense, and watching college sports.


Orlando Heaton

Orlando Heaton and his family moved to the Uintah Basin in 1998. He and his wife, Cathy have four children, who all have graduated from Uintah High School and now have families of their own. Orlando and Cathy are blessed with ten grandchildren and eleventh on the way of March 2022. Orlando attended the University of Utah for his Bachelor’s and Eastern Washington University for graduate school where he received a degree in Physical Therapy. He has 28 years working in his career field covering specialties in pain clinics, hospitalist, outpatient, home health, and pediatrics early intervention. Orlando looks forward to expanding his knowledge base in special populations working with spectrum-based patients.


Shawna McCarley

Shawna has a Bachelor’s Degree from Utah State University in Integrated Studies with an emphasis in Human Development. She has completed one year of an eighteen-month Master’s Degree program in Special Education with Emphasis in Behavior Analysis. As the Education Manager of Head Start from 2017-2021, Shawna has an extensive background in working with early childhood development, low-income families, spectrum children, and government programs. Shawna’s hobbies include reading, crafting, traveling, spending time with family at the cabin in the great outdoors!


Ann Murray

Ann has a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Family Life Studies with an emphasis in Family Relationships. Ann will continue her education this year at Ball State University working towards a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with an emphasis in Autism. Ann has worked as a special education aide and held various volunteer positions working with children and youth.  Ann and her husband have three children, and one granddaughter. They enjoy kayaking, camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing.
